Born on August 29, 2002, Rhasidat Adeleke is an Irish sprinter with Nigerian origin. At the European Athletics Under-20 Championships in 2021, she won the 100-meter and 200-meter double. The first Irish woman to run the 400 meters in under 50 seconds was Adeleke. 60 m inside, 200 m indoors and out, 300 m indoors, and 400 m indoors and out are among her six Irish national records. Ade and Prince Adeleke, two Nigerian parents, gave birth to Adeleke in Dublin in 2002. Her affiliation with the Tallaght Athletic Club.

In 2019, she won the 100-meter and 200-meter sprint double at the Baku, Azerbaijan, European Youth Olympic Festival.
Adeleke won the 100-meter and 200-meter sprint double at the European U20 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2021, when she was still 18 years old. This victory marked the first women’s sprint double at these competitions since 2011. She participated in the US Collegiate Indoor Championships in the same year and accepted a scholarship from the University of Texas at Austin. She set an Irish record of 50.53 seconds by finishing fifth in the 400-meter final at the Munich European Championships in August 2022.
