Sifan Hassan, an Ethiopian-born Dutch middle- and long-distance runner, was born on January 1, 1993. She is best known for her versatility in running record-breaking and world-beating times over a wide range of distances. She won gold medals in the 5000 and 10,000 meters as well as a bronze in the 1500 meters to achieve an unprecedented treble at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
