The media person apparently didn't realize there was an angle in this situation and sought to get Callis on the ground and away from Omega.
After Saturday’s Triplemania XXXI event in Tijuana, wherein Kenny Omega succumbed to El Hijo del Vikingo in the main event, something horrible happened. Don Callis, who has been at odds with Omega since turning against him, watched the match from the stands. Callis was sent to the back by Konnan. Vikingo pinned Omega with a 630 splash to win the contest. The media person apparently didn’t realize there was an angle in this situation and sought to get Callis on the ground and away from Omega.
After the show, Omega was speaking with the neighborhood press when an angle showed her and Callis arguing. Konosuke Takeshita assaulted Omega in an effort to intensify their conflict. Things started to become serious at this point as a fan attacked Callis from behind before security intervened. It appears that Callis said something that upset the fan. According to Bryan Alvarez, Callis suffered injuries during the incident, including a bleeding lip, damage to his neck and an ankle. He was traveling to San Diego to receive medical care.
