In perhaps their best performance in over two and a half years as a team, Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter defeated Jack Starz and Dave Mastiff to win a grueling four-team tournament and earn a match against Moustache Mountain in the WWE NXT UK Tag Team Championship.

Starz and Mastiff appeared to have some trouble being on the same track when it came to tagging in and out of the fight, with Moustache Mountain observing from the announce table. Regardless, Starz shrugged off a sustained beating from both of his opponents to make a diving tag to Mastiff, who blasted Smith with several nasty attacks before suplexing him across the ring with a belly-to-belly suplex.

“I’ve got this,” Mastiff said matter-of-factly to his teammate as Starz yelled for a tag. You’re going to stay there.” When Mastiff’s Into the Void cannonball failed, Smith tagged in Carter, and the experienced duo nailed a few of stunning double-team techniques to secure the victory.

Can “The Hottest Team Under the Sun” win gold now that they’ve earned their first-ever title match after banging on the door and hovering in the title picture for so long?

Myla Grace loses to Isla Dawn

Despite the fact that Isla Dawn can send shivers down her opponents’ spines simply by being present – not to mention her strange habit of collecting “trophies” from her peers — the upstart Myla Grace remained firm against her cackling opponent.

Grace began the match with a flurry of right hands, a flying head scissors, and a ring-rattling tornado DDT for a two-count, while The White Witch dominated her opponent in the early goings.

Dawn rebounded swiftly, hitting a perfect kick to the face and nearly sending Grace through the canvas with an ingenious slam for the victory.

In a Japanese street fight, NXT UK Champion Meiko Satomura defeated Blair Davenport by referee stoppage

Mix Blair Davenport’s wrath over losing her last title battle to Meiko Satomura by roll-up with The Final Boss’ rage after a vicious post-match beatdown from her challenger, and you have the makings of a barbaric rematch that could only be contested under Japanese Street Fight rules.

At the toll of the starting bell, Davenport swung for the fences with a Kendo stick, but Satomura ducked and hammered her opponent with numerous sharp kicks as the action spilled to ringside.

Back in the ring, the Best in the World brandished nunchucks and dealt multiple punches to the midriff, but Davenport stunned Satomura by kicking a chair into her face.

Satomura, who was face-down on the apron as the challenger sprang from the top rope and slammed her feet into her back, seemed to be in severe danger, but Davenport sustained an ugly left leg injury on the ringside landing, and the referee waved for the stoppage.

As NXT UK came to a close, Satomura stood strong with her belt, as Davenport was stretchered out of the arena.
