The Nature Boy discussed his friendship with Triple H on the most recent edition of the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast. According to reports, Triple H will not be present at this year’s WWE WrestleMania. Since suffering a cardiac issue in the fall, Triple H hasn’t been associated with the WWE much of late, and he has yet to reclaim control of NXT 2.0 or at least be seen at the Performance Center.

Flair, who has often referred to Triple H as one of his “best friends,” discussed Triple H’s current lack of participation with the organization. The Nature Boy also revealed more about their friendship today than when he referred to Triple H as one of his greatest buddies in the world back in the day.

Between 2003 and 2005, Flair and Triple H were members of the Evolution group in WWE, with Batista and Randy Orton. It is commonly known that the 16-time world champion has had a long friendship with The Game.

Ric Flair and Triple H’s standing

Regarding Triple H’s present status with WWE, Flair said, “I have no idea either,” Flair said, regarding Triple H’s current standing with WWE. “He and I were incredibly close and now I never hear from him so I don’t know.”

Flair also addressed the claim that Vince McMahon would battle Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38 at the age of 76. He discussed the bout and why he’s looking forward to seeing Vince wrestle in his mid-70s.

Flair said, “I think it’s great that he’s doing it,” Flair said. “He’s making a statement for all of us that are older. I could wrestle right now too but I’ve got blood thinners as a result of that blood clot so that kind of eliminates me from wrestling. I can get off them for a couple of days if I had to get in shape but I would never get in as good of shape as he does.”

To note Ric Flair did not comment on why his relationship with Triple H may no longer be as tight as it once was.
