Following the recent WWE comeback of the erstwhile “Fiend,” there are ongoing rumors of a new stable under the leadership of Bray Wyatt, and a few former Ring of Honor wrestlers may be in line for parts. In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer writes that the names Vincent and Dutch have been “bandied around” as prospective “Wyatt personalities.” This comes after last week’s report that the pair was backstage for the Raw program airing on October 10 in New York City.

The Righteous in Ring Of Honor once consisted of Dutch, Vincent, Bateman, and Vita VonStarr. Since the AEW president’s March takeover, the group have only made one appearance for the Tony Khan-run company, losing the World Six Man Tag Team Championships to Dalton Castle and The Boys at Death Before Dishonor on July 23. Since earning the straps in December of last year, this was their first defense of them.

Since October 2016, Vincent has been a frequent performer for ROH after making his start with Matt Taven’s stable, The Kingdom. While everything was going on, Dutch achieved independent success while competing as Bill Carr for Team Tremendous prior to ROH. With Vincent’s IMPACT Wrestling obligations having been completed earlier this month, both wrestlers are currently free agents.

Bray Wyatt’s return came as a shock

Even if Bray Wyatt’s most recent public remarks don’t exactly fit with who he is, it’s difficult not to give him a break. The WWE surprised the professional wrestling industry by releasing him over two years ago, and speculation regarding the reason for the move quickly spread. If it wasn’t obvious from the applause when he finally showed his face at the conclusion of the evening, the fans are overjoyed to have him back.

In his first promo following his comeback, Wyatt expressed how he felt like he had lost both his career and his self-confidence, and even revealed that there had been times when he had questioned the purpose of what he had accomplished. In the end, he thanked the audience for their support, but as the concert came to a conclusion, a masked person on the Titantron wearing the “Uncle Howdy” mask stopped him. The segment gave “SmackDown” a massive quarter-hour rating boost.
