There has been great curiosity ever since the World Heavyweight Championship launched a few weeks ago, and many of the WWE Universe were curious about who would emerge as the first champion.

But today we’re going to talk about the top 5 wrestlers who shouldn’t win the new world heavyweight title.

5. Rey Mysterio

Now that Rey Mysterio is a veteran wrestler, he should be mentoring the young wrestlers. Mysterio is a famous performer with a loyal fan base, but because of his age and physical limitations, he may not be able to carry the championship or consistently provide main event-caliber events. WWE World Heavyweight Champion should be an active performer who can contribute to the long-term development of the business and engage in exciting rivalries.

4. Edge

Edge’s recent comeback and eventual championship wins would overshadow and undermine the efforts of other deserving younger stars. The Edge shouldn’t win the World Heavyweight Championship right now. Despite being an iconic figure with a large following, Edge’s inability to successfully fight for and win the championship is hindered by his part-time employment. Active, full-time competitors who can contribute to ongoing storylines and rivalries should be holding the championship. Giving Edge the championship at this point could hinder the development and momentum of up-and-coming players who would gain more from a persistent push and a major championship reign.

3. Sheamus

Sheamus has already won multiple championship titles, and his character has been fully developed. Prioritizing fresh and innovative stories that may captivate the audience and revive the championship scene is important. Without any championship, Sheamus can still make a contribution to the team because of the character he plays.

2. The Miz

As compared to being considered a top-tier main event performer, The Miz has been mainly positioned as a mid-card entertainment, therefore he shouldn’t win the New World Heavyweight Championship right now. His recent booking and storylines have failed to portray him as a true and strong championship candidate, considering the fact that he has outstanding mic abilities and can draw excitement from the crowd but he is still far away to be the face of the company.

1. Shinsuke Nakamura

The biggest surprise in this list is Shinsuke Nakamura as he is going quite strong right now but Shinsuke Nakamura’s current character lacks depth and consistency. Shinsuke has excellent in-ring talent and charm, but his recent storylines and matches haven’t helped him become a real championship contender. His low promo skills and language barrier also make it difficult for him to reach a wider audience.
