Roman Reigns is the most talked about wrestler in the world right now and has been for the last year ever since he became the Undisputed WWE Universal champion at WrestleMania 38 when he beat Brock Lesnar. He has been having great match after great match and has been captivating crowds in a way that has not been seen since the likes of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

He has been carrying the company on his back for the last three years and if recent reports are to be believed, then the Tribal Chief will get a much deserved break from television after WrestleMania 39. According to WrestleVotes, Roman is expected to take a ‘significant break’ following the show of shows in April. The report also says that Reigns will not be in action until SummerSlam in August.

To some fans, this is shocking news and would be disappointed at not being able to see their beloved WWE star in action but to others, it would seem like Roman deserves this break after carrying and representing the WWE in top notch fashion for over three years. This also suggests that Cody Rhodes will beat Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and given the hype around the American Nightmare, it would be perfect if the WWE let Cody hog the limelight and let Roman take a well deserved rest.

Conflicting reports on Roman Reigns post WrestleMania 39

Despite what was mentioned by WrestleVotes, there is another report on what WWE are planning to do with Roman Reigns after Mania. A tweet from Xero News has revealed, “As of recently, WWE are currently deciding whether to go with Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship or simply one of them. For Backlash, or Rhodes, Sami, KO vs. Reigns, Jimmy, Jey – non titles at Backlash.”

This should not come as a surprise at all as the Reigns is the undisputed face of the company and having him in and around the title scene will only help the WWE in the short and the long term.Reigns loves the company and the sport and will do anything to make sure that he represents them in the best possible way. If he needs a break and it is very likely that he needs one after performing at a high level for over three years, then he should get a rest.

Otherwise, he should stay on and given that he is on a part time schedule, Roman should not have any problems. Moreover, he can also have feuds with many other potential superstars and add to his myth of being The Tribal Chief.
