Roman Reigns, a 38-year-old wrestler hailing from Pensacola, Florida, has emerged as one of the biggest stars in WWE and the entire professional wrestling industry. Since joining WWE in 2010, he has risen through the ranks to become the prominent face of the company. Reigns boasts an impressive career as a former member of The Shield faction and an accomplished world champion.

Roman Reign’s championship reign

Reigns comes from a renowned wrestling lineage. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika, one-half of the Wild Samoans, and the cousin of The Usos, who are currently holding the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Wrestling runs through Reigns’ veins, and he has masterfully harnessed his innate talents and magnetic personality to cement himself as one of WWE’s premier performers today.

Roman Reigns, the current holder of the WWE Universal Championship, has now surpassed a remarkable 400-day reign. This impressive feat solidifies his position as the pinnacle star and recognizable face of WWE. Reigns achieved this distinguished title victory back in August 2020 at Payback, shaping his dominance over the main event scene ever since. Notably, his ongoing reign stands as the lengthiest world title accomplishment in WWE for more than three decades.

During Reigns’ impressive reign, he has defeated big names like Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Edge, Daniel Bryan, and more to maintain his championship title. He has become the foundation of WWE programming and headlined numerous major pay-per-view events throughout his historical tenure. Alongside his trusted advisor Paul Heyman, Reigns emanates an unbreakable aura akin to a formidable mafia boss.

Reigns, known for his impressive title defenses on pay-per-view, hasn’t defended the WWE Universal Championship on weekly television programming in over 100 days. The last time he had a televised title defense was against Rey Mysterio on the May 20th episode of SmackDown. This showcases how WWE has strategically safeguarded Reigns by minimizing his appearances on free television. Currently, he only competes during special events to maintain his esteemed position as the champion.

Gunther and Roman Reigns Superfight

Roman Reigns and Pedro Morales had been the only wrestlers with two different title reigns spanning over 400 days until recent times. But Walter Hahn also known as Gunther has recently entered their ranks with his WWE United Kindom Championship and Intercontinental Championship reign spanning well over 400 days. Currently, Gunther and Reigns stand as two of the biggest stars in WWE with huge fanbases. There have been rumors going on about a Gunther vs Roman Reigns super fight and the fans are eager to see Roman Reigns getting dethroned. Gunther himself is also aware of his fans’ interest in his fighting reigns and has spoken about it in various different interviews.
