The WWE has had a lot of great wrestlers over the years and a debate always rages on about who is the best. For a lot of people, it may be The Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin or Hulk Hogan and rightly so but according to AEW commentator Jim Ross, the best wrestler right now is none other than Randy Orton.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, he waxed lyrical about Orton and called him amazing among other things. “He still is amazing, he may be the best worker on the WWE roster,” Ross said. “You wouldn’t get too many of the talents to disagree with that. Everybody wants to work with Randy. I just hope he gets healthy and gets back in business.” Over the last year, Randy was having a good time with Riddle. The two men formed a tag team and had some memorable moments and even won the tag team titles. Randy was slated to take on Roman Reigns at SummerSlam but got injured.

Randy Orton to have surgery

WWE superstar Randy Orton who is currently out injured may be out for a little longer than expected if new reports are to be believed. According to Fightful Select, The Viper has been dealing with a back injury for a long time. While we do not exactly know the nature or severity of the injury, it is something that Orton had to get worked on before wrestling with Riddle against The Usos for the tag team unification title match. It seems to have only gotten worse and if this is the case, then surgery is inevitable down the line.

WWE had big plans for the Viper as there were reports of him being in the main event of SummerSlam against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Title but because of the nature of his injury, those plans have been shelved and may take place at a later date. Randy has been out of action since the tag team title unification match on the May 20 episode of SmackDown. Orton teaming up with Riddle became one of the best stories of the year as they went on to have great matches and had unmatched chemistry in and out of the ring.
