WWE superstar Randy Orton who is currently out injured may be out for a little longer than expected if new reports are to be believed. According to Fightful Select, The Viper has been dealing with a back injury for a long time. While we do not exactly know the nature or severity of the injury, it is something that Orton had to get worked on before wrestling with Riddle against The Usos for the tag team unification title match. It seems to have only gotten worse and if this is the case, then surgery is inevitable down the line.

WWE had big plans for the Viper as there were reports of him being in the main event of SummerSlam against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Title but because of the nature of his injury, those plans have been shelved and may take place at a later date. Randy has been out of action since the tag team title unification match on the May 20 episode of SmackDown. Orton teaming up with Riddle became one of the best stories of the year as they went on to have great matches and had unmatched chemistry in and out of the ring.

Riddle revealed that Randy Orton has back difficulties during the most recent episode of RAW. The Viper is presently recuperating at home, and their future is uncertain, according to them. The Usos began the newest edition of SmackDown with a boast about their win last week. They noted The Apex Predator’s absence during the trailer. Michael Cole responded by saying that the former champion is visiting a spine specialist. WWE soon followed up with a tweet on their Twitter account, revealing further details about his injuries. Orton is presently receiving consultations with neurosurgeons and orthopaedic spine doctors in order to determine the best course of therapy, according to the report.
