Bobby Lashley is one of the most dominant wrestlers in the world right now. He has been one of WWE’s best wrestlers ever since he made his return in 2018. Since then, he has won a host of titles including the WWE title, something that was well-deserved given his pedigree.

During his first stint with the WWE, Bobby Lashley was involved in the Battle of the Billionaires with Vince McMahon and Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23. Lashley was on the side of Donald Trump and took on Umaga, who was on the side of Vince McMahon. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the guest referee and the match ended with Lashley pinning Umaga. The stipulation was that whoever lost the match would have their head shaved and so Vince had to go bald.

Despite the result, Lashley was not happy as he felt that he was underpaid and because of his complaints, he was fired. According to former wrestler, The Sandman, the reason for Lashley’s firing was because he complained that he only got $500,000 for the match at WrestleMania 23. Bobby told Vince that he deserved more and that rubbed him the wrong way and Lashley was released a year later.

Bobby Lashley discusses The Rock’s WWE return

There is much conjecture surrounding The Rock’s potential WWE comeback with the Royal Rumble less than a week away, maybe at the Royal Rumble event itself or at WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that The Rock may not be competing in the ring at all as a result of not having enough time to prepare for a fight against his cousin Roman Reigns.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda’s Wrestle Binge, Bobby Lashley predicted that The Rock’s return to WWE would boost the company’s reputation significantly.

Lashley said, “What would it mean to the company? The Rock is a huge star. So, of course, if he comes back, it’s going to bring a lot of notoriety to us, and being in Hollywood this year, I think there would be a good opportunity that he may be back.”

He added, “I don’t know. I have been asked several times if The Rock is coming back. We don’t know anything. I don’t even know what I’m doing next week. I can’t really tell you what The Rock is doing, but of course, everybody would love to see The Rock. He’s a huge star. So if he comes back, it’ll be good for all of us.”
