Steph Curry, a two-time NBA MVP, won’t play tonight when the Golden State Warriors take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Curry has missed the last five games due to a shin injury, which is still bothering him. The Dallas Mavericks were his opponent on February 4 of this year. The NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers has allegedly begun working out one-on-one, but will still be reassessed in a week. He will at the very least miss the next four contests for the Bay Area club.

Curry’s stats

In 38 games, Curry has averaged 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.0 steals. He is making 42.7% of his shots from beyond the arc, for a field goal percentage of 49.5%. His output will be sorely missed by the Warriors as they attempt to end the regular season strong. Golden State ranks ninth in the Western Conference (29-29). They are only one game back of the Dallas Mavericks (31-29) for the sixth and last berth to avoid the play-in round, though.

Laker’s still have LeBron

Draymond Green underlined ahead of the All-Star break how they needed to step up their defensive effort in the absence of the NBA’s deadliest shooter. Starting tonight against a revamped LA Lakers club that is also aiming to move up the standings, they will have to start doing that. LeBron James’ injured left ankle is still listed as an injury for the Lakers.

Tonight’s big game has been given the official go-ahead as probable for the four-time NBA MVP. The NBA All-Star team captain’s early exit versus Team Giannis over the weekend led to a small panic in the Lakers’ camp. After a booming dunk, “King James” hurt his hand, forcing him to miss the first few minutes of the second half.

Treacherous situation for Lakers

The final 23 games for the Lakers, according to James, will be the most significant run of his regular-season career. He asserted that it’s not part of his DNA to skip back-to-back postseasons. The Lakers must win consistently because of their far more precarious position than the Golden State Warriors. James is anticipated to start tonight, so they are trying to do that.

Davis’ right foot injury

After Anthony Davis hurt his foot on December 16 against the Denver Nuggets, he was forced to miss five and a half weeks of the NBA All-Star game. Receiving the go-ahead to play, he has only missed one game, last January 25 against the San Antonio Spurs. After his comeback, he has been listed as probable for every game, although he has participated in all bar the one against the Brooklyn Nets on January 30. At that time, he was a late scratch against the Nets. Anthony Davis should start tonight’s matchup with the NBA champions unless a misfortune occurs between this morning’s shootaround and the pregame warmups.

Andrew Wiggins misses out as well

After the All-Star break, the Golden State Warriors anticipate that Andrew Wiggins may miss a few games. When they go to Crypto.com Arena to play LeBron James and the LA Lakers, he won’t be there. The first in a back-to-back set of games is tonight’s contest against the Lakers. If he will be able to play against the Houston Rockets tomorrow night, it is still unclear. Without Andrew Wiggins in the lineup, Steve Kerr might start Jonathan Kuminga or Donte DiVincenzo.
