Currently, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are engaged in a bitter conflict. The two engaged in a devastating Last Man Standing Contest on this week’s SmackDown. When they joined WWE, Owens and Zayn had a lengthy history of competition in wrestling. They used to go under the names Kevin Steen and El Generico.

They have participated in a variety of feuds as both allies and foes ever since their WWE debut. In the pro-wrestling business, the two have collaborated for almost 20 years. But do they actually get along? Sources claim that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been great friends in real life for a very long time.

How long do they go ?

The friendship between the two celebrities dates back at least 15 years. While competing as independent wrestlers from Canada, they initially met. They had a good time together and fly to this day. For those who don’t know, the two were known outside of WWE as El Generico and Kevin Steen. They engaged in their debut match for the International Wrestling Syndicate in 2003. In a match with three threats, they engaged in combat with Pierre Carl Ouellet. They formed an alliance in 2006, and as of this writing, they have shared several Tag Team Titles outside of WWE. They should soon take the title of Titanland’s Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

The best WWE storyline is centered on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ friendship

Sami Zayn has become more and more involved with The Bloodline throughout the course of 2022, and though having never been a descendant of the Anoa’i Family, he has been welcomed into the group. His status as “Honorary Uce” has led to some of the most entertaining, funny, and poignant wrestling programming in recent memory. In addition to the many dynamics within the group, the back and forth between whether or not Roman Reigns will flip on him and vice versa has created for must-watch television. In the midst of all of this, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s relationship may be what ultimately destroys their alliance.

Zayn is among the world’s top professional wrestlers, according to Owens, though this claim has recently been disputed. He has counseled Zayn to leave The Bloodline before he is betrayed despite their differences. Zayn’s mixed feelings for Owens were a factor in the great War Games bout at Survivor Series. With a probable match between Zayn & Owens and The Usos at WrestleMania 39, it is anticipated that in the future, Zayn and Owens’ bond will have a stronger pull.

‘I would say that we are more like brothers than we are friends’

Zayn was referred to as more of a brother than a friend by Owens in an interview. “I would say that we are more like brothers than we are friends. You know you don’t choose your relatives, you don’t choose who your brother is, you don’t choose who your sister is, you don’t choose your family. You were born into a family. In this case, we weren’t born into each others families but we, from the start of our careers when we started wrestling on the independent scene in the U.S and even back home in Canada… Once we started getting our name out there and more recognized, people just booked us together all the time, and that wasn’t our choice,” Owens disclosed.

Because of their incredible synergy, the superstars are frequently teamed in conflicts and alliances.
