Vince McMahon has often been criticized by WWE superstars, both past and present. The same was true when he came under scrutiny from AEW’s manager, Jake ‘The Snake Roberts’. The WWE Hall of Famer struggled with personal issues related to substance abuse in the 1990s. He overcame them and returned to the company in 1996, receiving a spiritual babyface personality. Jake Roberts attributed this persona and accompanying storyline to a grudge Vince McMahon held. Speaking on the Snakepit podcast, the 67-year-old revealed that he wasn’t too keen on the character.

“I didn’t like it. It was Vince who shot him. If you leave Vince McMahon and he’s not one to fire you and get rid of you, he doesn’t like it. He has a grudge.” He’s a grudge asshole and will catch you in time. He’ll start doing little things, maybe he’ll be Jelly Lawler, throw whiskey in my face, and make jokes.* No more. It should never have been done. Jerry Lawler himself speaks. And it was terrible to be asked, especially about my background. Are you going to persecute me because I’m a Christian? TRUE? Amazing man,” said Jake Roberts. Vince McMahon is perhaps the most important figure in professional wrestling history. He was his WWE mastermind who grew into the global juggernaut he is today. In 2022, the 77-year-old shocked the world when he announced his retirement amid allegations of sexual misconduct and paying hush money.

He will return to the company in early 2023. Joe Ellen Lyons Dillon, Jeffrey R. Speed, and Alan M. Additionally, Stephanie McMahon announced her retirement from all positions within the company, leaving Nick Kahn as the sole CEO. Triple H will continue to serve as his CCO and Head Booker.

The former WCW President also said he is jealous of Triple H, Bruce Prichard and all the people currently working on WWE’s creative team for their involvement at this time. He said that he “would love to be in their place” with a major problem in their feet, having two of the hottest stars in the industry, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn, come up against the high heels. Roman Reigns’ heel. The WWE Hall of Famer said there was no wrong choice in what WWE was doing, calling it a “good position”. Reigns will defend his title against Zayn at the Elimination Chamber and if he retains the title, he will face Royal Rumble men’s winner Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.
