Gunther has expressed his opinions regarding Roman Reigns’ historic title reign and illustrious career in the WWE. For more than 900 days, The Tribal Chief has held the title of top champion for the largest wrestling organization in the world. He has beaten every single superstar who has attempted to challenge for the championship, including Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and John Cena. In Montreal, where Elimination Chamber is from, Sami Zayn was his most recent opponent.

‘It’s impressive’

On the most recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Gunther said that Roman Reigns’ run has been great and that he is eager to see where it goes from here. “It’s impressive. Yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up because it’s a situation that never has been there, in that way. And it’s continuing. So it’s gonna be interesting to see where it goes,” said Gunther.

Undisputed WWE Universal Title’

Last Saturday evening, The Head of the Table faced Sami Zayn in Canada to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title. His opponent was honored like a national hero, while the crowd was hostile to him. Gunther on the WWE Elimination Chamber crowd’s response to Roman Reigns, as a prominent heel, Gunther admitted that having that type of heat is fun. He also made a suggestion that Imperium and The Bloodline might face off.

‘It’s a very enjoyable situation for me

“I gotta say, yeah, I love it. It’s a very enjoyable situation for me, I gotta say, and if I look at Montréal, what a heartbreak at the end. And yeah, I enjoyed it. I just feel like the pressure is on his shoulders by now because all eyes are on him. So, obviously, nobody can take away the records he set and stuff like that. But once he’s gonna fall, he’s gonna fall hard. And people are waiting for that. But yeah, let’s see who’s gonna be able to end his reign. The Bloodline hasn’t faced us yet, so let’s see,” he said.

Cody Rhodes challenges Gunther

The American Nightmare’s matchup with the Intercontinental Champion Gunther was one of many intriguing matches in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble. These two WWE Superstars each appeared as a guest on different editions of the podcast After The Bell. The first person to express a desire for a face-to-face encounter with Intercontinental Champion Gunther in Europe was Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes issued a challenge for a match, and Intercontinental Champion Gunther accepted. According to Gunther, a union with Cody will be ideal for him. “I think the match is right there whenever it needs to happen, if it will happen in Europe, obviously, it will be fantastic”. Said Gunther.

‘end boss’

Gunther talked about his encounter with Brock Lesnar on the After the Bell podcast. Lesnar, according to Gunther, is his “end boss.” Gunther said in the podcast that the brief encounter and conversation with Brock Lesnar provided the only real-world confirmation he needed. Gunther continues by saying that Brock Lesnar will be his “end boss” if he is perceived as a boss character by others.
