When it comes to the question of reinventing one’s self, there are only a few in the wrestling industry that can do it as well as Matt Hardy. He has of course had some iconic rivals over the years and in this article, we will take a look at some of them.

Edge

Matt Hardy’s feud with the Rated-R Superstar is one of the most compelling and intriguing angles we will ever see. WWE took a real-life rivalry and made it into an on-screen rivalry and that brought a level of realism to the fans from all over the world. Bray Wyatt

Matt Hardy took on Bray Wyatt and it seemed like it would make for one of the best rivalries of his illustrious career. ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy taking on the Eater of Worlds was a very interesting proposition for the fans and to top it all off, the two men had amazing chemistry. They fought numerous battles against each other and it finally ended in a match at the Hardy Compound which Matt won. The two men then formed a tag team and even won the tag team titles in what turned out to be a very interesting way to end the feud.

MVP

The rivalry that Matt had with MVP was by far the best in his singles career. This feud took place at a time when the two men were going toe to toe for the WWE United States Championship. MVP was a young upstart trying to make for himself in the company. This feud lasted for almost one full year from 2007 to 2008 and some of the matches that the two men had were the best ones from that year. MVP and Hardy gave it their all and came out as winners in the eyes of the fans.
