When The Great Khali made his debut in 2006, it truly was a terrifying sight. When he proceeded to calmly beat The Undertaker to a pulp, people were genuinely scared of the new monster in town and no such thing had happened since the debut of Kane in 1997. Khali stood over 7 feet tall and weighed more than 300 pounds and that made him the perfect giant. A giant that a certain Vince McMahon loves.

Khali did win the World Championship and it added some legitimacy to his character as the prototype giant. After that, he slowly transitioned from a monster heel to a friendly and comedic womaniser. When you put things into perspective, the man from India had a decent career and had some interesting rivalries during his career. In this article, we take a look at some of them.

The Undertaker

The Great Khali made his presence felt during a match between The Undertaker and Mark Henry. Over the next couple of weeks, the two men came to blows on many occasions. Khali and the Deadman met at Judgment Day in 2006, and not only did he beat Taker comprehensively in less than ten minutes, he squashed him.

This match was Khali’s pay-per-view debut and the WWE did the right thing by making him look like an unstoppable heel as Khali walked away as a force to be reckoned with.

John Cena

John Cena and Khali went head to head at the One Night Stand pay-per-view in 2007 and it was a very good match considering the latter was not a very good in-ring performer.

They took on each other in a Falls Count Anywhere match and it eventually turned into an all-out brawl throughout the arena. The two men went back and forth in what was a really engaging match and it ended with Cena delivering an Attitude Adjustment from the top of a construction crane and made Cena look like an unstoppable wrestler.

Big Show

When the Big Show and Khali came face to face, it was a sight to behold. The two men were arguably the biggest men in the wrestling world and the fans were eager to see how their confrontation would turn out to be.

The two behemoths were scheduled to take on each other at Backlash in 2008 and the match received a decent amount of build, and it turned out to be much better than expected. There were a surprising amount of submission holds and quick covers, and from a technical standpoint, it was arguably Khali’s best outing.
