Following their in-ring (and out-of-ring) confrontation in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Ricochet has officially challenged Logan Paul to meet him in the ring next Monday on “WWE Raw” in order for him to put forth a greater challenge. Ricochet is expected to confront Paul at the next SummerSlam premium live event.
The feud between the YouTube celebrity and Ricochet began earlier this year when the two first met in the ring in the Royal Rumble bout, where they enjoyed a viral moment. The location in question received a lot of attention online and from unexpected sources.
The two would once again work their magic at Money in the Bank this past weekend, this time with a maneuver that saw Ricochet strike Pual with a Spanish Fly through two tables put up at ringside. Though neither man won the Money in the Bank briefcase, their feud continued backstage in scenes shown on Monday night’s “Raw.”
Logan Paul and Ricochet were among the seven contestants in the high-stakes ladder match at the 2023 Money in the Bank event. Throughout the competition, the couple provided several memorable moments, attracting the attention of fans all across the world.
At one point during the fight, both athletes were involved in violent combat on a ladder when Knight shoved them over. Ricochet tried a Springboard Spanish Fly on The Maverick, but the technique backfired, sending them tumbling to the floor through a table.
When Paul landed face-first on the table, the ringside personnel quickly checked on him. The daring maneuver utterly startled the spectators, and the YouTube superstar and Ricochet were forced to sit out the rest of the bout.
Paul would have won the WWE Money in the Bank contract in 2023 if Ricochet hadn’t stolen his opportunity. The Maverick may hold the former champion responsible for his recent defeat, sparking a fight for SummerSlam 2023.
