Gunther has been very busy since moving up from NXT. While WWE has yet to announce any competitions for WWE WrestleMania 39, a number of notable events for April’s Showcase of the Immortals have been reported. Aside from the huge matchups, like Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. The Rock or John Cena vs. Logan Paul, a top WWE SmackDown talent is apparently poised to face the Beast Incarnate.

Gunther has been speculated to face Brock Lesnar at the Hollywood-based event, however, it is unknown if the battle would be for the Ring General’s mid-card title. Whatever the outcome of this prospective heavyweight clash, Gunther is eager for the task.

Gunther told Tim Battle & Eli on the Battleground Podcast, “Yeah, definitely. To get the opportunity to prove myself in that scenario it would be fantastic.” Taking Lesnar on the grandest stage of all is a prized position in and of itself, but Gunther observes that there is a personal achievement in maybe clashing horns with the conqueror.

Gunther continued, “When I started as a wrestler and got back into wrestling, I always watched Brock’s matches because they are fantastic, they stand out right away. There is nobody like him. I always like those characters. Most of the people doing this who are successful, there is no copy of them.”

“He’s always been a great wrestler, and from when I grew older in my career, I was able to analyze the work and understand the psychology and stuff. You can tell he’s one of the best to ever do it. If I get a chance to get in the ring with him, I would gladly take it.”

Who will Brock Lesnar fight at WrestleMania 39

Lesnar has shifted down the card significantly since completing his multi-year battle with Roman Reigns. He had a rivalry with Bobby Lashley last autumn, attacking The All-Mighty on an episode of Monday Night Raw, which cost him the WWE United States Championship.

Lesnar won WWE Crown Jewel, but Lashley impressed even in defeat. Based on how the battle went and the fact that Lesnar and Lashley both have one victory over one another, many people believe the two will face off again at some time in the future. Still itt is not clear who may LEsnar face at the Grandest stage of all.

Roman Reigns surpasses GUNTHER’s enormous record while reigning as champion

In his role as Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has now added another achievement to his resume. The Tribal Chief won the Universal Championship for a second time at Payback 2020 by defeating The Fiend and Braun Strowman in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat match. Reigns became the first Superstar to concurrently hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship after defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. He may brag about another record at the moment.

With 871 days as the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has now outlasted GUNTHER’s previous record of 870 days as the NXT UK champion. Wrestling Stats & Info posted about the statistic on Twitter.
