Bronson Reed's name change reveals WWE's future plans

Jermaine Haley also known as Bronson Reed is an Australian professional wrestler who currently works for the WWE. He was born on August 25, 1988, and has been in the wrestling industry since 2007. Throughout his career, he has wrestled for many different promotions like NWA, Pacific Pro Wrestling as well as WWE. And he has managed to gather titles in almost all of these promotions while also managing to make a name for himself in the wrestling industry.

Bronson Reed’s Career

Bronson Reed made his wrestling debut under the name Johah Rock in 2007 in the Australian independent circuit. During his tenure in the independent circuit, he managed to gain various titles like Wrestle Rampage Australian National Champion and the Explosive Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champion. In his early years, Johan didn’t only limit himself to the Australian independent circuit. He also made appearances in the Japanese Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion as well as some British and German promotions.

Halye got a big breakout in his career in January 2019 when he was signed into NXT by WWE. Later on March 9, he would make his debut during a NXT live event under his real name. But he would, unfortunately, lose to Riddick Moss. Later his ring name would be changed to Bronson Reed. Reed would then make an official debut under his new name on July 17, 2019, as a face but was defeated by Cameron Grimes after defeating Dexter Lumis.

Bronson Reed’s name change

Recently during the July 17, 2023, Monday Night RAW WWE announced Bronsons Reed’s name as “Big Bronson Reed.” This potentially indicates WWE’s future plans towards focusing on Bronson Reed and increasing his popularity. Reed defeated Nakamura on July 17, 2023, Monday Night RAW and is set for a feud with Ciampa.
