Ric Flair, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, says he discovered more about himself in one night than he ever had before, including what he missed about wrestling and what he didn’t. Backstage during “WWE RAW XXX,” Flair had to settle many feuds, including one with Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. Flair needed to attend to another personal problem. Flair said on a recent edition of his “To Be The Man” podcast that he and Paul “Triple H” Levesque had a private conversation to clear the air on prior conflicts.

It started out with me and Hunter talking for about an hour, which is a private discussion, but resolving a lot of issues that had been lingering for a couple of years,” Flair said. He revealed how the conversation between the two came to be.

“He mentioned to me he wanted to talk to me, and we talked, and we just got real serious,” Flair said. “We both kind of went through the same thing. I didn’t realize to what extent he’s gone through, I didn’t realize to what extent he’s been through. I do now, I’m not gonna share, obviously. He was in a bad place just like I was.”

As someone who has almost died several times, Flair understands the significance of showing folks in your life how much you appreciate them. “It’s so important for everybody to know that you can’t tell ’em after you’re dead how much you care for ’em,” Flair said. “You gotta tell ’em while you’re alive, and then you wake up and you realize you got a second chance. You don’t wanna screw that up.”

Ric Flair apologized to Becky Lynch

“WWE Raw XXX” provided a wrestling legend with a deeper understanding of himself. Ric Flair reflected on his Monday night on the newest edition of “To Be The Man,” telling co-host Conrad Thompson that he took a minute to apologize to Becky Lynch.

Flair continued, stating he also approached Seth Rollins and shook his hand, indicating he was going to apologize to his wife. Flair’s earlier dispute with Lynch centered on WWE’s use of the trademark “The Man,” a term Flair used in the ring and after. “Yup. I walked up to her and said, ‘May I speak with you for a minute?’ And I just said ‘I’m sorry it got to where it is,’

“The whole thing was decided by somebody besides she and I,” he said about the whole situation, but what really put things in perspective was seeing Lynch with her baby. “I thought, ‘God, this will be Ashley someday.'”

“I am not ‘The Man’ anymore,” Flair added. “‘The Man’ is whoever the people think it is, and basically we’ve turned it over to social media to decide who ‘The Man’ is.” Later, Flair mentioned how therapeutic it was for him to come up to Lynch and apologize for their previous squabbles.

“It makes it a better world for me to be in,” he said. “I don’t think they care one way or the other, but I feel better about myself. I mean they were all very nice, don’t misunderstand me, Becky was very receptive and said nice words to me and so did Seth, but my daughter works there and I want it to be perfect. Nothing’s perfect, but you want it to be as best as it can be.”
