One of the vital cogs in the win for Team USA was their opposite hitter Jordan Thompson. Jordan Thompson is an American volleyball player who played for the Italian Serie A1 team Vero Volley Milano and her national team. Thompson signed her first professional volleyball contract in 2019 began when she played for the Turkish club Fenerbahçe. She then signed with Eczacıbaşı VitrA, another club from Turkey, for the 2020–2021 season.
Over the years, Thompson has earned a lot of laurels and appreciation for her great talent. These include “Best outside hitter” in the Turkish Super Cup. Other titles include AVCA North Region Player of the Year, AVCA First Team All-America etc to name a few. It has always not been a bed of roses for sportspersons to climb the ladder. Likewise, it has not been the easiest of journeys for the 26-year-old. Thompson’s professional career till now has always seen ups and downs. On one occasion her professional career was ‘almost’ over even before it began due to a UCL injury. However, Thompson has risen from the ashes time and again like a phoenix.
Although her on-field prowess is known to everyone, yet it’s her off-the-field relationship which has kind of created a buzz in the people. She is married to Blake Yager. However, there have been many rumours about her relationships and involvement with Stephen Weatherly in the past.

Thompson was previously in a relationship with Stephen Weatherly. Stephen is an American football defensive end who played college football at Vanderbilt. The two of them had a short relationship before they decided to part ways. Blake and Thompson went to the same school which kindled the chemistry between both of them. Although everyone knows about Yager and Thompson’s relationship, the couple has been able to keep it quite private till now.
