John Gordon Perrin is a renowned Canadian volleyball player known for his role as an outside hitter who has had an illustrious career, including two Turkish Championships in 2013 and 2015. A former pivotal member of the Canada men’s national volleyball team, Perrin has been a part of two Olympic squads – Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. He also played a significant role in earning the gold medal for Canada at the Men’s NORCECA Volleyball Championship in 2015. In the 2011/12 season, Perrin joined Arkas Spor in Turkey as he contributed to the team’s runner-up finish in the national championship in his debut season. Perrin’s journey with the national team began in 2006 with the Canada men’s youth national team, collecting a 4th place finish at the Boys’ Youth NORCECA Volleyball Championship. He then advanced to the Canada men’s junior national volleyball team in 2008 and guided his team to a second-place finish at the Men’s Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship. His senior national team debut came in 2011. Perrin’s significant contributions include winning bronze at the 2011 NORCECA Championship, silver in 2013, and gold in 2015. He was also part of the Canadian team that achieved a 5th place finish at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
