Volleyball at the Asian Games 2022 in 2023 is scheduled to start from 19th September and end on 7th October.
The Asian subcontinent has gone into a frenzied atmosphere as the biggest multi-sport event of the subcontinent is starting in China. The Asian Games or Asiad as it is known is second-most sought after sporting tournament after the Olympics. One of the oldest sports in the tournament is volleyball. Now, with Paris Olympic qualifications down to the wire, the Asian teams will give their all for the forthcoming games.
The Chinese women volleyball’s team hope to have their place in Paris secured by the time the hosts roll into Hangzhou for the 19th Asian Games. The female spikers from China will look to defend their title at the Games before the home crowd. On the other hand, when it comes to men’s group, all eyes will be on Asian champions Japan. With likes of Yuji Nishida and Ran Takahashi, the Japanese team have a lot of steam in their arsenal. Let us see who gets the coveted gold medals in both the categories.
