The FIVB Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship 2023 is scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, China, from the 13th to the 17th of December. The competition this year will include six teams, with the host team being Tianjin Bohai Bank Women’s Volleyball Club from China. This also includes two teams from Istanbul, Türkiye – Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul and VakifBank Spor Kulubu. Brazilian powerhouses Gerdau Minas of Belo Horizonte and Dentil Praia Clube of Uberlandia will also participate, alongside Vietnam’s Sport Center I Women’s Club from Hanoi who will make their first appearance in the championship.

VakıfBank is the most dominant team in the competition’s history having won 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2021, and has won medals in every edition of the Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship since 2016. On the other hand, Sport Center I made it to the competition by winning the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship, also the first team from their country to win this prestigious title.
