Alexandra Annelise Frantti is an American professional volleyball player. She participates in volleyball as an outside hitter for the American women’s national team and the Casalmaggiore Series A1 team in Italy. Frantti was recognized as the AVCA National Freshman of the Year and a second-team All-American after helping Penn State win its seventh NCAA championship in 2014 after leading the team in kills her freshman season. At the start of her senior year at Penn State in 2017, she had amassed more than 1000 career points. After playing for Chieri for two seasons, Frantti signed a contract with Casalmaggiore for the 2022–2023 campaign.
After being included on the 25-player roster for the FIVB Volleyball Nations League competition, Frantti made her national team debut in May 2022. She led the team with 15 kills in her first match with the national team, a victory over the Dominican Republic. With 15 kills and 3 blocks in a victory over Poland, she led all players. A couple of days later, she dominated Thailand, finishing with 27 points on 24 kills, two blocks, one ace, and 10 digs in a victory.
Only three months after making her national team debut, Frantti participated in her second significant international competition when she was selected for the 2022 FIVB World Championship roster. She began several matches in the preliminary pool round as an outside hitter, and she finished all three of those matches with the highest score on the floor. She recorded a team-high 14 points—13 kills and one service ace in the opening match victory over Kazakhstan.
She continued with another impressive performance in the next match against Canada, leading all scorers with 15 points on the strength of 14 kills and a block. In the following match, the United States faced Bulgaria, and they won again. For the third consecutive match, Frantti again held the point lead with 19 points, which she earned from 17 kills, a block, and an ace of service.
