The FIVB Men’s Challenger Cup, which serves as the 2023 FIVB Men’s Nations League qualifying event, will run from July 28 to July 30, 2023. The competition will take place at the Aspire Ladies Sports Hall in Qatar. Participating in the competition will be eight national teams that are contenders, four of which—China, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Ukraine—will be making their Cup debuts. Cuba defeated Turkey in the championship match of the previous year’s competition.
The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Challenger Cup is an annual men’s international volleyball competition attended by eight different national teams that serves as a qualification event for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. The 2023 edition will be the tournament’s fourth. Turkey and Dominican Republic will play one another on July 28 in the second quarterfinal of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Challenger Cup 2023. The two teams will compete with one another for the chance to advance to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2024. Alberto Giuliani and Jose Gutierrez Sanchez, respectively, are Turkey’s and Dominican Republic’s coaches.
