On June 25, the fifth FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League kicked off its competition. The Nations League features international volleyball players each year. The competition will take place from May 30 through July 16, 2023. The crucial match will be held in Arlington, Texas, at College Park Centre. In the VNL, the top 16 countries from each of the four volleyball confederations will compete. It is regarded as one of the top international indoor competitions by the FIVB, the organization in charge of governing the sport. The final tournament roster was created after a few minor changes.
In a match for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League, Thailand, and the Netherlands will compete on June 27, 2023. This matchup features two potent teams. The Netherlands is ranked number twelve in the world, while Thailand is ranked fifteenth. The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2022 saw Thailand and Netherlands finish eighth and eleventh, respectively. Both teams are vying for first place this time around in the standings.
The first round of the women’s competition for VNL 2023 consists of three weekly stages. The teams in the two pools are switched around every week to accommodate all 16 teams. After three weeks, the top eight teams in the standings will compete in the championship round. Each team plays 12 games against its opponents during the pool round. Eight teams will then compete in the competition’s final knockout round after that. Using the teams’ standings after the preliminary round, the order of the knockout stages will be decided. The initial rounds will be held in Antalya, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, Suwon, and Bangkok, among other cities. There will be additional preliminary rounds through July 2 before the knockout rounds begin.
