The CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship, overseen by the main volleyball body in Europe – European Volleyball Confederation, is set to unfold between August 15 and September 3, 2023. This year, the competition is more intense with 24 national teams participating. The games are divided among four host countries across Europe: Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. Italy is the team to watch out for, having clinched the championship in 2021 with a 3-1 win over Serbia. As the tournament progresses, 16 teams have already punched their tickets to the first knockout stage, gearing up for a shot at the quarter-finals.

On August 28, 2023, Serbia will take on Sweden in a Round of 16 match at the CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. Serbia, in their five matches of Pool A, showed complete dominance as they emerged victorious in each one of them. Meanwhile, Sweden won two of their five games and proceeded to the pre-quarter-final phase. Both teams will look for a spot in the last eight in the competition as they play on Sunday.
