In 2023, Serbia and Hungary will co-host the women’s CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship, making it the first time these two countries have done so. The limit has changed from Under-16 to Under-17 as a result of the European Volleyball Confederation’s choice to synchronize the age restriction with the men’s competition. The usual 12 teams per gender are now 16 teams, making a total of 32 teams participating. The championship will be held in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, and Bekescsaba, Hungary, between July 11 and July 22.
Both male and female teams have finished the second round of qualifying for the U17 European Championship in 2023. Men from Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania, as well as women from Turkey, Serbia, and Greece, will compete in the 2023 U17 European Championship Final Round. The Final Round, which will be held in Serbia and Hungary as co-host nations from July 11 to July 22, will feature women who previously competed in Serbia (the competition’s host) or Turkey.
The CEV, the body that oversees the sport, will host a fantastic international competition where the best teams from all over the world will square off. The CEV Women’s U17 European Volleyball Championship will feature a match between Serbia and Italy on July 19, 2023. Two outstanding teams are competing in this event. 2022 CEV Women’s U17 European Volleyball Championship champion Italy finished first, with Serbia coming in fourth. Both teams are battling it out for first place on the table.
The first round will feature 16 competitors from each gender. There had been twelve teams in the competition’s semifinal rounds before. The first four teams will be chosen based on the results of four zonal association qualifiers, one for each gender, to ensure their participation in addition to that of the organizing countries. Poland has already snagged the spots in the men’s and women’s editions that Eevza was anticipated to contend for at the qualifying competitions held in Georgia and Latvia in December. For the other three zonal associations, January has been designated as the qualifying month. On January 4 through January 8, Grunheide will host the U17 women’s finals for Wevza competitors. The group also consists of the hosts, as well as the following countries: Germany, Belgium, England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
