On June 14, the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League’s fifth season got underway. Each year, international volleyball players compete in the Nations League. From May 30 to July 16 in 2023, the competition will take place. The critical round will occur at College Park Centre in Arlington, Texas, in the United States. Four volleyball confederations’ top 16 nations will compete in the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL). It is regarded as one of the top international indoor competitions by the FIVB, the body responsible for governing the sport.
Serbia will play Croatia on June 18, 2023, in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. Both strong teams will compete in this matchup. Serbia is ranked fifth, while Croatia is ranked twenty-sixth in the world ranking. Serbia finished in third place overall after the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2022, while Croatia was not a part of it. This time, both teams are aiming to win the standings.
Three weekly stages make up the first round of the VNL 2023 women’s competition. In order to include all 16 teams, the teams in the two pools are rotated every week. After three weeks, the top eight teams will compete in the championship round. Each team plays 12 games against its opponents during the pool round. There will be eight teams competing in the competition’s knockout round. Using the teams’ standings after the preliminary round, the order of the knockout stages will be decided. Antalya, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, Suwon, and other cities will host the preliminary rounds. There will be additional preliminary rounds through July 2 before the knockout rounds begin.
