The CEV U17 Men’s Volleyball European Championship 2023, a competition for players below the age of 17, got underway on July 19, 2023, in Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro. This event is slated to reach its conclusion on July 30, 2023. 16 teams took part in this prominent event. The tournament’s first ever edition took place in 2017, where Italy emerged as the inaugural winners. In the last iteration of the championship, held in Albania’s capital, Tirana, in 2021, Slovenia secured the championship with a dominant 3-0 victory over Russia.

On July 29, 2023, Italy will take on Belgium in the second semifinal of the CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship 2023. Italy was the best team in Pool 2 as the team clinched victory in seven of their seven games played and stormed into the semis. On the other hand, Belgium took the second spot in the competition in Pool 1 as it clinched five victories in the seven matches to qualify for the knockout stage. Both teams will lock horns with each other for a place in the gold-medal match of the U17 age group tournament.
