The FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship 2023, the last major event of the international volleyball calendar, is set to be held in Bengaluru, India, from December 6 to December 10, 2023. The prestigious event will feature elite volleyball clubs from around the globe. Defending champions, Italy’s Sir Sicoma Perugia will return to defend their title against formidable contenders, including Turkey’s Halkbank Spor Kulübü, Brazil’s powerhouse teams Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei and Itambé Minas, Japan’s renowned Suntory Sunbirds, and the home team, India’s Ahmedabad Defenders.
On December 6, 2023, Halkbank Spor Kulübü will be up against Suntory Sunbirds in the Koramangala Indoor Stadium at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship 2023. The Turkish club Halkbank has become the Turkish champions on multiple occasions and finished as the runner-up in CEV Champions League 2013/2014 season. On the other hand, Sunbirds, the premier volleyball club based in Japan, has captured the V League title nine times.
