In 2023, the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship in volleyball will take place for the 22nd time. This twice-yearly international junior volleyball competition features national teams of men under the age of 21. A team must belong to an FIVB member association in order to compete in the World Championship. The FIVB is the organization that controls the sport internationally. The event will take place in Bahrain’s capital city of Manama from July 7–16, 2023.
The Czech Republic and India will square off at the U-21 Volleyball World Championship on Saturday. India is currently ranked fifteenth worldwide. According to the FIVB U-21 Men rankings, the Czech Republic is currently ranked eleventh. On Saturday, there will be a thrilling volleyball match between two powerful teams. But winning the match will be a challenge for both teams.
The final competition was qualified for by a total of 16 national teams. Although Mexico had already qualified as the host and had to host by December 31, 2022, ten more teams had qualified through five different continental competitions. Among the teams that haven’t yet qualified, the top 5 teams were chosen based on their position in the Men’s U21 FIVB World Ranking.
In each pool, teams will compete against one another in a round-robin format. The remaining teams compete for positions from eighth to sixteenth in pools G and H while the top two teams from each pool advance to the round-robin pools E and F of the second phase. The pool E and pool F winners and runners-up advance to the semifinals, where the medalists will be chosen.
