The CEV U17 Men’s Volleyball European Championship 2023 is already underway, having kicked off on July 19, 2023. The tournament, designed for players aged 17 and under, is scheduled to wrap up on July 30, 2023. This year, the championship is set in Montenegro’s capital, Podgorica, where 16 teams are competing. The competition made its debut back in 2017 when Italy claimed the inaugural title. In the most recent tournament held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, in 2021, Slovenia claimed the top spot with a convincing 3-0 triumph over Russia.

On July 29, 2023, Bulgaria will play Spain in the first semifinal of the CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship 2023. Bulgaria topped Pool 1 as the team claimed victory in seven of their seven games played and made it to the playoffs. Meanwhile, Spain came in second in Pool 2 as it clinched six victories in the seven matches played to qualify for the knockout stage. Both teams will face one another for a spot in the gold-medal match of the U17 age group tournament.
