Get prepared for an exciting volleyball season as Chennai in Tamil Nadu hosts the third season of the Indian Premier Volleyball League, beginning on February 15. Fans are eagerly gearing up to cheer for their favorite teams, with the action extending until March 21, 2024. The season opener will feature the reigning champions, the Ahmedabad Defenders, going up against local favorites, the Chennai Blitz.
Fans will be able to catch every moment of the action as the games will be broadcast on TV and streamed online throughout India. Keep an eye out for the Delhi Toofans, the latest team to join the existing nine in the league, as they compete for the top prize. Only the leading five teams will advance to the Super 5s playoffs happening from March 11-18. The team that wins in the playoffs will secure their place in the final set for March 21.
Whereas those finishing second and third still have a chance as they fight for the remaining spot on March 19. All games are scheduled to take place at Chennai’s SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, with the eventual winners earning a berth in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship running from December 9-15 in India. A crucial game to mark on your calendar is the matchup between the Ahmedabad Defenders and the Mumbai Meteors at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on March 14, during the fifth game of PVL 2024 Super 5s.
