Get ready for some exciting volleyball in Chennai, Tamil Nadu! The Indian Premier Volleyball League’s third season starts on February 15th, and we’ll be cheering for our favorite teams through March 21st, 2024. The season’s first game is a big deal—the reigning champs, the Ahmedabad Defenders, are up against Chennai’s own, the Chennai Blitz. And you won’t miss a moment, as all the games will be shown live on TV or available for streaming in India.
Keep an eye on the newcomers, the Delhi Toofans, as they and eight other teams compete for the top spot. The best five teams will face off in the ‘Super 5s’ playoffs from March 11th to 18th. The playoff winner goes straight to the final on March 21st. But there’s still hope for the teams that rank second and third—they’ll fight for the last spot in the final on March 19th.
All this action takes place at Chennai’s SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, with the ultimate victor going on to play internationally at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship held in India, from December 9th to 15th. Don’t miss out on the game on March 11th, when the Bengaluru Torpedoes face off against the Delhi Toofans at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in the PVL 2024 super 5s.
The Bengaluru Torpedoes are out for redemption after their straight-set defeat to the Chennai Blitz, with scores of 14-16, 11-15, and 13-15. Meanwhile, the Delhi Toofans want to maintain their winning streak following a dominant 3-0 set victory over Ahmedabad Defenders, with scores of 11-15, 14-16, and 12-15.
