For quite some time, Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva were at odds, leading up to a cataclysmic showdown in February 2016 in London, when the two fought in a middleweight main event. They put on a tremendous spectacle for the sold-out audience, with Bisping finally receiving the nod with a win that propelled him to the 185-pound title. Silva, who is widely regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time, struggled in the last years of his UFC career before departing to pursue a new career in boxing.

He’s now 2-0 as a professional, with victories over Julio César Chávez Jr. and Tito Ortiz, demonstrating his continued sharpness. Then, this Saturday, he demolished Bruno Machado in a performance that a 47-year-old former MMA great should be unable to match. Bisping saw clips of the Machado bout on a recent edition of his podcast and couldn’t help but compliment the Brazilian.

Michael Bisping on his podcast said, “I saw a little bit of this, I saw the highlights. Anderson looks fantastic. Listen, we know he struggled at the end of the UFC, but certainly, he looks invigorated. He looks like a young man, I mean, he took a shot in the middle of that [exchange with Machado] and his chin was always great. He drops him with a beautiful right hook, does the old shoe shine, boom, comes over the top. He looks 21! Anderson is the man, and I’m so happy for him to see what he’s doing out there.”

Anderson Silva vs Jake Paul

As much as some may despise it, the possibility of Jake Paul versus Anderson Silva taking place should be considered seriously. Paul kept a tight eye on ‘The Spider’ throughout the weekend and mocked him on social media, whereas Silva is always ready for a battle and would put ‘The Problem Child’ to the ultimate test.
