The ongoing saga surrounding Francis Ngannou’s contract status with the UFC has come to an end. For over a year, Francis Ngannou’s UFC contract status has been one of the hottest topics in MMA, with speculation as to whether or not he’ll keep the promotion and face Jon Jones in a never-ending megafight. There are a lot of them, and now it looks like he will never compete in his UFC again. At the UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference, Dana White spoke about whether Ngannou would be promoted or not after John Jones announced his fight against Cyril Gaine.

“I have been working on a new deal with Francis for about two years,” he said. Anyone can be heavyweight. he was ready to go “We offered Francis a contract that would make him the highest-paid heavyweight in the history of the company. Over [Brock] Lesnar, more than anyone else. And he turned down the deal.” We release him from the contract and we waive our right to match. And he can go where he wants and do what he wants. “
