The top seeded women’s doubles pair of Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens will go up against Danielle Collins and Desirae Krawczyk in the Semi-final of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships on Friday, July 8. Zhang and Mertens recorded a comfortable victory in the quarter-finals to advance to this stage of the competition against Andreja Klepac and Alexa Guarachi. The score at the end of the match was 6-3, 6-2. Elsewhere, Desirae Krawczyk and Danielle Collins also recorded a comfortable victory in the quarter-finals against Alicja Rosolska and Erin Routliffe. The score at the end of that match was 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. The two teams will go toe to toe against one another for a chance into the finals.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Friday, July 8 in the semi-final of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championship is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 8 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
