Italy’s Marco Cecchinato, a professional tennis player, was born on September 30, 1992. He reached his highest-ever ATP singles ranking of No. 16 on February 25, 2019. On April 29, 2018, he won his maiden ATP World Tour match at the 2018 Hungarian Open, becoming the first tennis player from Sicily to win an ATP tournament. Cecchinato, a clay court specialist, placed in the semifinals of the 2018 French Open, his best Grand Slam showing. He was the seventh player to ever win an ATP tournament as a lucky loser after losing in the qualifying round and making it to the final as a lucky loser. He achieved a career-high rating of number 22 in the world as a result.

During the Latin American clay court swing, Cecchinato won his third ATP title of his career at the Argentina Open by defeating Diego Schwartzman in the finals. Cecchinato didn’t lose a set during the entire event, and in the lopsided final, she only lost three games.
