Daniel Altmaier, a German tennis player, was born on September 12, 1998. He peaked at No. 53 in the ATP singles rankings on May 23, 2022. Altmaier beat Petr Michnev and Alexander Ward to get to the ATP main event at the 2017 Geneva Open. He was eliminated in the first round by Sam Querrey. He won his first ATP tour-level match as a lucky loser in the 2017 Antalya Open by defeating Victor Estrella Burgos. He overcame wildcard Marsel lhan in the following round to get to the quarterfinals, where he was defeated by Yichi Sugita. A third set tiebreak determined the outcome of both of his victories. Altmaier’s tennis career was hampered by hip and shoulder injuries, but wins over Tallon Griekspoor and Ruben Bemelmans in qualifying enabled him to make his Grand Slam debut at the 2020 French Open. There, he defeated Feliciano Lopez, Jan-Lennard Struff, the 30th seed, and seventh seed Matteo Berrettini in straight sets. His opponent in the fourth round was Pablo Carreo Busta.

Daniel Altmaier and his Parents, Family

According to sources, his mother was Russian and his father was named Pinchas Menachem.
