She defeated the No. 9 seed at the French Open, Danielle Collins, to get to the third round for the third time in her career before falling to Daria Kasatkina, the 20th seed. She defeated Kirsten Flipkens to get to the semifinals of the Libéma Open. She was defeated by Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed. At the Silicon Valley Classic, she defeated Bianca Andreescu, top seed Maria Sakkari once more (her third top-5 career win), and Amanda Anisimova to go to the semifinals. In the three matches, she only dropped 18 games and did not drop a set. After defeating Veronika Kudermetova in straight sets, she advanced to her third career final and first WTA 500 match. In the final, she was defeated by seventh-seeded Daria Kasatkina. As a result, on August 8, 2022, she entered the top 30 in the singles chart.
