Elise Mertens is a professional tennis player from Belgium who was born on November 17, 1995. She formerly ranked first in the world in doubles. Mertens has won three Grand Slam doubles tournaments: the 2019 US Open, the 2021 Australian Open, and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships alongside Aryna Sabalenka.
