Dominic Stricker and Chun Hsin Tseng will take on one another in the round-robin stage of the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals on November 11.
Dominic Stricker has done a fantastic job of adapting to the conditions in Milan and has so far been virtually unplayable on serve. In tiebreakers, he defeated Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti in six of the eight sets, easily qualifying for the semifinal and taking first place in the group. The brilliant Swiss player most likely played his season’s best game during this one. A few months ago, he was losing in straight sets to players like Adeballah Shelbayh and Nicolas Mejia in Challenger circuits. Last week, he lost in straight sets to Otto Virtanen at the Bergamo Challenger.
Only Chun Hsin Tseng has no chance of moving on to the next round of the tournament going into the final round robin match. He was defeated by Dominic Stricker after suffering defeats to Lorenzo Musetti and Jack Draper twice each. It wouldn’t be simple for the former Junior No. 1 to exit the ATP Next Gen Finals with a victory over the leader, as he is currently on a seven-match losing streak in completed matches across all levels and hasn’t triumphed on indoor hard courts since 2020.
Dominic Stricker and Chun Hsin Tseng are scheduled to take on one another in the round-robin stage of the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals on November 11. The tournament is scheduled to be held from November 8 to November 12, 2022.
The eight players at the ATP Next Gen Finals 2022 have been divided into two groups, these are the Green group and the Red group. Each player will play one match against everyone in their group and the top two from each will make it through to the semi-finals. The top finisher of one group will face the second finisher of the other. The winner of those two matches will then meet in the final to decide who will win the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals crown.
