Tim van Rijthoven hasn’t been in great form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to Rune at the Paris Masters right in the second round and also in the opening round to Thiem at the European Open. He made it to the quarter-finals of the Vienna Open losing to Coric after beating Tiafoe and Ruusuvuori in the first two matches. At the Australian Open, he made it to the fourth round losing to Korda after beating players like Shapovalov, Sonego, and Martinez on the way.
Maxime Cressy hasn’t been in good touch lately and has been losing all the recent tournaments he has played in. He will be adamant to make a change in fortune and perform well at the Rotterdam Open. He couldn’t make it to the later stages in most of his last tournaments, losing to Djokovic at the Paris Masters, and to Rune at the Australian Open. He made it to the final of the Open Sud De France thereby losing to Sinner after beating the likes of Rune, Coric, Ruusuvuori, and Bellier. He couldn’t make it past the first stage mark at the Swiss Indoors as well losing to Dominic Stricker.
