Andrey Rublev and John Isner are scheduled to take on one another in the second round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Tuesday, November 1.
After a stellar few weeks, Andrey Rublev was knocked out in the second round by Grigor Dimitrov in Vienna last week. But, as he begins his Paris campaign, he will look to quickly put the setback behind him. This is his fifth appearance at the Paris Masters, and he has only made it to the third round once. Rublev, who has won four titles from four finals this year, has recently been in excellent form. He made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open for the third time, then reached the final four in Astana before winning in Gijon two weeks ago. Rublev also won three other titles in Marseille, Dubai, and Belgrade, and he reached the semifinals five times.
Making his first appearance since pulling out of the second round of the U.S. John Isner, who was out due to a wrist injury, defeated Oscar Otte 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) in the first round of the Paris Masters. Isner, ranked 47th in the world, had the lone break of the first set. He didn’t hold a breakpoint in the second set, but he saved two in the tenth game to win the tiebreak. He had a 6-0 lead in the tiebreak before the qualifier won three points in a row, but a six-point lead was too much for the qualifier to overcome, and Isner eventually won the match.
Andrey Rublev and John Isner are scheduled to take on one another in the second round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Tuesday, November 1. The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 6, 2022.
The ATP Paris Masters 2022 will have five rounds of action excluding the qualifiers. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The competition’s main draw is set to commence on October 31, 2022 and conclude on November 6, 2022.
