Pedro Cachin has not looked consistent at all in terms of results and will need to get things straight before he gets started at the Indian Wells. He made it to the round of 16 stage of the Argentina Open losing to Musetti and at the Cordoba Open, he lost to Dellien right in the first round itself. At the Australian Open, he lost to Carreno in the opening round, and at the same stage he was knocked out of the ASB Classic by Lestienne. At the Paris Masters, he failed to move ahead of the qualifying stage losing to Halys. At the recent Rio Open and Chile Open, he got knocked out in the first round itself to Galan and Juan Cerundolo respectively.
Alexander Zverev hasn’t been in good touch lately after recovering from the injury he picked up at the French Open last year and still is searching for good form. He will be adamant to make a change in fortune and perform well at the Indian Wells Masters. He couldn’t make it past the second stage mark in his last tournament which was the Australian Open, where he lost to Mmoh after beating Varillas in the first round. But before his injury, he was in great form beating players like Alcaraz Garfia, Zapata Miralles, Nakashima, Sebastian Baez, and Ofner at the French Open before retiring midway through the semi-final match against Rafael Nadal. At the Dubai Tennis Championships, he got made it to the semi-finals losing to Rublev after beating the likes of Sonego, O’Connell, and Lehecka
