Diane Parry made a name for herself at this year’s French Open when she upset defending champion Barbora Krejcikova in the first round. While Krejcikova’s fitness level prior to the tournament was scrutinized, it did not detract from a brave performance by Parry, whose debut on the big stage was warmly received by her adoring home fans. Parry has a junior tour ceiling of No. 1, which she achieved in 2019. And her swashbuckling tennis style is so pleasing to the eyes, especially her backhand slice, which she plays so naturally. The 20-year-old has risen through the ranks to No. 66 ahead of the Tallinn Open.
